I had been using a 7% copper based algeicide for several years in my in-ground pool. Though the algaecide was sequestered, it nevertheless resulted in a blue colored stain over the the entire surface on the floor and walls. After lowering the ph and adding Orenda SC-1000, then brushing all surfaces for several days, the stains were removed. Then it was CuLator 1.0 Power Pak in the scupper for 3 months to absorb 100% of the now suspended copper. A water test confirmed 0.0 ppm. copper, down from >2.0 ppm when I first had the water tested 3 months prior. Use CuLator AFTER using acid to lower ph and Orenda SC-1000 to absorb the copper released with brushing all surfaces.
